Jimmy Hayes scored a pair of goals to lead the Rockford IceHogs to a 5-4 win over the Charlotte Checkers in AHL action Sunday. It was the first two goals of the season for the six foot, six inch, 221 pounder who played 31 games with the Blackhawks last season, picking up five goals and nine points. He has a good shot to be a bottom six forward this season with the big club as he is also a physical force. Zack Boychuk and Zac Dalpe scored for the Checkers.
