Jeff Schultz has agreed to a one-year/$700k deal with the Los Angeles Kings. Schultz fell out of favor in Washington to the point where he requested a trade. No one was willing to take on his $2.75 million annual cap hit and he ended up getting bought out. Schultz will probably have an opportunity to fight for a spot on the third pairing, but that will partially depend on the health of Willie Mitchell.
