Jean-Sebastien Giguere kicked aside 32 shots in the Colorado Avalanche's 3-2 loss to the Calgary Flames on Thursday night. Receiving the start after Semyon Varlamov allowed six goals in a loss on Tuesday, Giguere was very steady in net -- until the third period when it all came unhinged when he allowed three goals on 10 shots. Part of the problem Thursday night was that Calgary was shorthanded eight times (scoring twice) in this game, and they only mustered up 18 shots on net, so Giguere was leaned on pretty heavily. Colorado has now dropped two straight to fall to 13-15-1 on the season.
