Jean-Sebastien Giguere is expected to be between the pipes for the Avalanche in Thursday's match-up against Detroit. Colorado acquired Reto Berra from Calgary before Wednesday's trade deadline as an insurance policy, but Giguere still appears to be the team's backup. He allowed five goals on 27 shots against Los Angeles in his last outing.
