Jean-Gabriel Pageau was noticeable every time he stepped onto the ice in Thursday's exhibition loss to Toronto. He is good defensively and produced plenty of scoring chances in Ottawa's 3-2 defeat. Pageau also isn't afraid to mix it up with the opposition, which proves he has the grit to play in the NHL. He can be sent to the minors without going through waivers, so he has to prove that he is deserving of a roster spot.
