Jason LaBarbera came in on relief for the Coyotes in the third period Thursday and made 14 saves in the team's 2-1 loss to the Canucks. Mike Smith, who made 16 saves, left after the second period with an undisclosed injury. Even though LaBarbera didn't have to enter in the middle of a period, completely cold, it's still not easy coming off the bench like this, especially in a game where Phoenix was down one. The Coyotes don't play again until Monday, so this could be tough to read until closer to that time.
