Jaromir Jagr, the New Jersey Devils' leading scorer despite being only a month away of his 42nd birthday, recently suggested he just might play until he's 70 so he can have a go at some of Wayne Gretzky's records. "Hey, I can do it," he said. "If somebody can do it, I can do it." "He's a marvel for a hockey player," said Phoenix coach Tippett, who played one season with Jagr in 1992-93 with the Penguins. "You look at what he's doing for his age, his longevity and how good a player he's been for so long, it really is a testament to his fitness and his commitment to the game." Coyotes captain Shane Doan wonders how far up the scoring charts Jagr would be if he hadn't left the NHL in 2008 to spend three seasons playing professionally in Russia. "You never know where he'd be at and if he'd be chasing down the top two or three guys in the league of all time," Doan said. "He's a special player. It looks like he's still having fun. His puck skills are just phenomenal. You get a handful of those players that are elite to ever play the game and he's in that handful." Jagr and the Devils visit the Coyotes tonight.
