Jaromir Jagr is hoping that the 2012-13 season will be saved, especially as time runs out on his and Teemu Selanne's careers. "Hopefully the season's going to start," Jagr said. "It would be very sad for everybody for us, me and Teemu especially. We don't have many games left. The separation, the goal separation is only two goals. It's the final countdown. It would be kind of special, but you never know what's going to happen." Jagr is referring to the fact that the two of them currently rank 11th and 12th on the all-time goals chart, with Jagr edging Selanne. If we had a full 82-game season - which now seems impossible - the two would have been within striking distance of Mark Messier and seventh place on the chart. As it is, it would be a great shame for the game of hockey if their legendary careers came to an end as a result of a lockout.
