Jaromir Jagr had a strong Devils debut in coach Pete DeBoer's mind despite his lack of preseason action. Jagr was severely limited in training camp due to back/hip problems. He played on a line with Travis Zajac and Adam Henrique. "I felt okay," Jagr said. "We had the puck most of the night and tried to cycle. It's going to get better when we get to know each other a little more." Jagr had one shot on goal in 15:40 minutes of ice time.
