Jamie McGinn will play against his former team in San Jose on Monday night, with the two clubs locked in a heated race for the final playoff spot. McGinn has been a great pickup for the Avalanche since he was acquired on deadline day in a five-player trade. He has recorded eight goals and four assists in 13 games, while flourishing in Colorado's top-six forward group. "It's been nice for me to get a little more ice time lately, and to be able to play with such a good center like Paul Stastny and our other guys," he said. "I've felt pretty comfortable here from Day One. It'll be different (tonight) against them I'm sure. I'll probably most feel it when we get to the rink. They've got a lot of talented players and we need to make sure we bring our best effort against them."
