James Reimer was saddled with the loss Monday night against the Carolina Hurricanes. It's hard to blame a fantasy owner for starting Reimer tonight at home against the Canes because he has been solid between the pipes this season. His numbers may not jump out at you, but there's no question that Reimer has outplayed Ben Scrivens, who has struggled since his opening night performance against Montreal. The bottom line however, is that Reimer should not be viewed as a viable second goalie on a fantasy team in 12-team leagues. Playing for the lowly Leafs, Reimer is more an interesting third goaltender that can be used once in a while in favorable matchups.
