Jake Virtanen has inked a three-year, entry-level contract with the Vancouver Canucks. Virtanen was taken with the sixth overall pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. He had 45 goals, 71 points, and 100 penalty minutes even though he spent half the season playing through a torn labrum. He underwent surgery in May and isn't expected to be ready to play until mid-October.
