Jacob Markstrom was slated to get the nod for Florida Sunday, but couldn't because his equipment didn't accompany him to Fort Lauderdale. His pads arrived on a later flight, so the Panthers had to start the game with 39-year-old goalie consultant Robb Tallas as Scott Clemmensen's backup. Markstrom should get a great opportunity in Florida with Jose Theodore's season possibly in jeopardy due to a groin injury.
