Jacob Markstrom turned aside 34 of 35 shots Sunday, but was saddled with the loss in a 3-0 defeat at the hands of the New York Islanders. It's really not his fault that his supporting cast is so decimated, but Markstrom is taking the brunt of it, as his record stands at 3-6-1 through 10 starts despite a very good save percentage. If he can continue to play as he has over the past week he'll have no trouble hanging on to the starting gig for the Panthers.
