Jacob Markstrom made a career-high 49 saves in San Antonio's 5-2 win over the Charlotte Checkers on Sunday. He made 24 stops in the third period, as the Checkers outshot the Rampage by a 26-9 margin. Markstrom has recorded a 2.81 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage in 22 AHL appearances this season. He has enjoyed some flashes of brilliance this year, but there have been some growing pains as well for the Panthers' future netminder.
