Jacob Markstrom kicked out 24 of 27 shots in a 5-2 defeat Friday. Two of the five goals were scored on an empty net. Markstrom and Scott Clemmensen are expected to split the Panthers goaltender duties while Jose Theodore is out with a knee injury.
