It looks like veteran forward Kris Versteeg will re-enter the lineup for the Chicago Blackhawks tonight when they play the Los Angeles Kings in the seventh and deciding game of the Western Conference Final.
The veteran forward was a healthy scratch in the series' Game 6 in Los Angeles. Chicago Joel Quenneville scratched Versteeg, who struggled in Game 5, and used defenseman Scott Brookbank up front. NHL.com is reporting, however, that it appears that Versteeg will skate tonight at right wing on the Hawks' fourth line with left wing Brandon Bollig and center Michal Handzus. Handzus started Game 6 as the center of the third line. But the third line tonight likely will be comprised of left wing Patrick Sharp, center Marcus Kruger and right wing Ben Smith, a combination that played well when put together in spurts for overtime of Game 5 and throughout Game 6.
