It looks like the length of Mikkel Boedker's potential contract might be the roadblock in his ongoing negotiations with the Phoenix Coyotes. "You can't get to a number unless you can get to term, and sometimes getting to a term that works for both sides isn't as simple or easy as it may look from the outside," Boedker's agent, Jarrett Bousquet said. Boedker is a restricted free agent and obviously in danger of missing the start of training camp at this point. It sounds like Boedker is after a long-term deal and that was his primary motivation for passing on arbitration.
