It appears that Jacob Markstrom is having trouble at the very begining of games. He has let in a soft goal at the start of both his starts this week. Markstrom seems to be aware of the problem. "It's never how you want to start a hockey game,'' Markstrom said. It appears that notwithstanding Markstrom's jitters, Panther coach Kevin Dineen is in favour of giving the rookie netminder a chance to run with the Cats' starting job. "He's been given a real quality opportunity right now and I have a strong belief in him that he could be a premier player in the league, and the opportunity's knocking on the door,'' he said before Friday's game. Let's see how patient a man Dineen really is.
