In March of 2011 the Ottawa Senators signed Craig Anderson to a 4 year $12.75 million contract, figuring that they had acquired their goaltender for the intermediate future. This was, obviously, based on Anderson's performance for the Senators last season after his trade from Colorado. Anderson was tremendous for Ottawa after the trade, playing in 18 games and going 11-5-1 with a 2.05 goals against average, a .939 save % and 2 shutouts. Anderson was traded for Brian Elliott, if you didn't know. Not sure if Ottawa still believes that was such a good deal or not, considering how well Elliott is playing now for St. Louis. Another factor in Anderson's favor was the struggles in the AHL of Ottawa's goalie of the future Robin Lehner. So, the question is, is Anderson really that good?
