McCabe (cervical spine surgery) had his surgery six weeks ago and could be ready in four-five weeks, according to Mark Lazerus of The Athletic.

It was thought that McCabe recently had surgery but that was not the case. He skated on his own Friday and could return sometime in late October. McCabe could resume contact before the end of training camp. He had four goals and 22 points in 75 games last season.
