Krebs is headed to Buffalo from Vegas along with Alex Tuch (shoulder), a 2022 first-round pick and a 2023 second-round pick in a swap for Jack Eichel (neck) and a 2023 third-round selection.

Ironically, it is Krebs -- a 2019 first-round pick -- who figures to have the most immediate impact on his new club as both Eichel and Tuch are dealing with long-term injuries. In nine games for the Knights this season, the 20-year-old Krebs has generated 10 shots, six hits and a minus-6 rating but remains pointless to start the year. While he should get a chance to play in Buffalo right away, if Krebs continues to struggle, he could find himself headed to AHL Rochester before too long.
