In his previous call-ups, Coyotes winger Tim Kennedy was needed in a depth role lower in the lineup but with winger Lauri Korpikoski sidelined with an upper-body injury, a spot in the top-six opened up and Kennedy has filled the void. ''I think I've been given more of a role this time to have an impact on the game whereas last time my role was different, so maybe my impact won't be the same," Kennedy said. "I just want to come up and just play with the same confidence that I have down in the minors, and I don't think I did that my first two times up here." Kennedy has tallied a point in three of the four games he's been with the Coyotes during this recent stint. He scored Monday in Nashville and assisted on winger Radim Vrbata's game-winner Wednesday in Minnesota en route to a 3-1 win.
