If Alexander Radulov wants to return to the Nashville Predators, then he can do so without having to clear waivers. Players from European leagues who attempt to return to the NHL normally have to clear waivers, but the NHL and NHLPA have agreed to make an exception in this case. Radulov is already under contract with the Predators, but he left the club following the 2007-08 season to play with the KHL Ufa Salavat Yulayev. Radulov has spent four straight seasons in the KHL, but as far as the NHL's concerned, he still has one season left on his contract with Nashville. If Radulov decides to play, he will burn the last season of that contract and become a restricted free agent this summer.
