If Alexander Radulov decides to join the Predators this late in the season, it could have a negative impact on the team's chemistry. "It takes away from the guys we have on the team when we talk about other guys coming in, and guys who have been here all year and worked hard all year," Ryan Suter said. "It's going to be a fine line we're going to have to walk if he does come back." To an extent, the same could be said for almost any major player acquired at the trade deadline. There are a couple differences though. For one, Radulov would be joining the team several weeks after the deadline, which means they'll have even less time to adapt before the playoff start. The other issue is that Radulov left the Predators while he was still under contract to play in Russia. The Predators will try to put that behind them if Radulov returns, but it still might be a subtle factor. Still, Radulov could be one of their top forwards if he decides to play this season.
