Burroughs signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Canucks on Wednesday.

Burroughs had one assist in five games with the Avalanche and an additional four points in 11 games with AHL Colorado last year. The Vancouver native will now get a chance to play for his hometown team, although it seems unlikely the 26-year-old will make the Opening Night roster. With Burroughs on a two-way deal, he could spend much of the year with AHL Abbotsford.
