Hoffman was the only player on either side to find twine Thursday against Vancouver, with his unassisted second-period goal holding up for a 1-0 win.
EDGE Analysis
After Canucks defenseman Erik Gudbranson committed a giveaway, goalie Jacob Markstrom tried to play the loose puck, but it was Hoffman who corralled it and put it into the open net. After a slow start to the season, he's now recorded a point in three of the last four games -- and with the Sens shorthanded thanks to Mark Stone's (neck) absence, they felt comfortable enough with Hoffman to give him a whopping 22:12 of ice time, second only to Kyle Turris among forwards.
