Hoffman has yet to light the lamp in four games to date (three assists), but the winger is confident that it's only a matter of time before the scoring ensues, Ken Warren of the Ottawa Citizen reports. "I'm just trying to keep a level head, I know the goals are going to come. You don't want to hit the panic button too early. I feel like I'm getting a lot of shots, a lot of chances every game."
EDGE Analysis
Hoffman isn't far off last season's pace, as the winger amassed one goal and three assists through four games. The 26-year-old is right about his chances, though, firing toward net 20 times to date. It truly is only a matter of time before the winger lights the lamp to open the floodgates. Hoffman has 27 and 29 goals, respectively, the past two seasons and remains a key cog in Ottawa's top six. It's far too early to hit the panic button and when Hoffman finally breaks through the barrier, you'll want him in your lineup -- don't get cute.
