Matthews (head) was held out of practice Tuesday but is feeling okay and will be reevaluated Wednesday, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Leafs are taking a cautious approach with Matthews after he suffered a head injury in Monday's matchup with Carolina. The world-class center has posted five straight multipoint games in which he has racked up a ridiculous six goals and six assists, including four power-play points. If Matthews does miss any time, John Tavares will likely step into his first-line role while Ilya Mikheyev or Ondrej Kase gets promoted into the top six.
