Hayes scored a power play goal and added an assist in a 5-2 loss to the Kings Tuesday. Hayes now has eight points in 10 games this season while supporting a plus-5 rating. Hayes has been outstanding this season for the Panthers and is well on his way to a new career high in points, passing his old total of 18 in 2013-2014. Hayes has also found himself playing on the second power play unit and played 3:20 of power play time during Tuesday's contest which was his season high. The 24-year-old was a second round pick in the 2008 Entry Draft so there should be no surprise he has top end talent, it has just taken him some time to arrive to the show.
