Hayes potted a second-period power-play goal in Wednesday's Game 7 against the Capitals. The score tied the game in an eventual 2-1 Rangers overtime victory. After closing the regular season on a high note, Hayes' output has diminished throughout the postseason, but he at least managed to keep the Rangers alive by putting a well-timed pass from J.T. Miller in the back of the net. The 23-year-old has two goals and an assist over his 12 postseason contests.
