Haula's new contract with the Golden Knights is a three-year deal worth $2.75 million per season, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Haula spent the first four seasons of his NHL career in Minnesota, where he most recently recorded 26 points, including a career-high 15 goals, in 72 games last year. The 26-year-old never recorded more than 34 points in his time with the Wild (2015-16), but he was a standout at the University of Minnesota with 100 points over his last 80 games, so it's likely Vegas is banking on him recapturing some of that scoring touch in its inaugural season. Of course, it's too early to say where exactly Haula will slot in on the team's depth chart, though an assignment in the bottom six is probably the likeliest outlook at this point based on Vegas' other centers (Vadim Shipachyov, Cody Eakin and William Karlsson).
