Hamonic notched an assist in Tuesday's loss to the Canucks. Hamonic holds down a top-four role on defense for the Islanders, but he doesn't provide nearly the offensive upside that teammates Nick Leddy and Johnny Boychuk do from the blue line. He has nine points in 30 games this season, instead offering more significant contributions in PIM (52), hits (99) and blocks (63).
