Hamonic gathered an assist and put six shots on net in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Blue Jackets. Much of the attention for the Isles' improvement on the blue line this season has been directed toward Nick Leddy and Johnny Boychuk, but Hamonic deserves some credit, too. The 24-year-old has nearly doubled his scoring from a season earlier, contributing five goals and 27 assists over 68 games. He's showing no signs of cooling down as the playoffs approach, as he's notched three assists and 12 shots on goal over his last four games.
