Hamilton notched a pair of first-period assists Sunday, helping the Flames cruise to a 5-2 home win over the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Calgary went bonkers with a four-goal first period, with Hamilton making an impact as the primary provider on a Michael Frolik goal to open the game, as well as a secondary setup to Sean Monahan a bit later. There's a lot to like in Hamilton; he sees the ice very well and has a scorer's touch, as evidenced by his managing at least 10 goals in three straight seasons. He's at 41 points in 65 games and that's pretty close to elite-level production for a defenseman.
