With Duncan Keith (knee) still approximately four weeks away from returning to game action, and Michael Rozsival (ankle) still working his way back from injury, the Blackhawks' defensive corps has been stretched thin of late. Gustafsson, who has tallied one assist and 10 PIM in eight games with AHL Rockford this season, will bolster Chicago's depth at defense until Rozsival can make his long anticipated return. Gustafsson likely won't play Thursday against the Jets, but could draw into the Hawks' lineup Friday against Minnesota.
