Muzzin missed Game 7 of the Maple Leafs' first round playoff loss to the Canadiens with a lower-body injury last season, but he was given a three-week recovery timetable at that point, so it wasn't surprising to see him on the ice Thursday. The veteran blueliner picked up four goals, 27 points, 103 shots, 101 hits and 94 blocks in 53 games last campaign.
