Gomez factored in on both of his team's goals with two assists in Monday's 2-1 win over the Hurricanes. The two points were Gomez's first of the season after being signed by the Devils last week. The 34-year-old hasn't recorded more than 15 points in any of the last three seasons so there may not be much here, but he should continue to feel more comfortable with his new mates the more games he plays.
