Mason struggled in the preseason going 1-2-1 with a 3.35 GAA and .876 SV% in four preseason outings. Mason is coming off of a strong year in which he won 33 games with a 2.50 GAA and .917 SV%. The challenge for Mason is to follow that up with another good year, because year-to-year consistency has been his Achilles heel since he entered the NHL in 2008-09.
