Goalie Marc-Andre Fleury continued his outstanding season to help the shortstaffed Pittsburgh Penguins defeat the Colorado Avalanche 3-2 in a shootout Sunday night. Fleury made 39 saves in regulation and overtime before shutting out the Colorado players he faced in the shootout period. Fleury stopped 15 shots (five on power plays) in the first period and made another 12 saves in the second. The Pens were playing without several of their top players, including Sidney Crosby (upper body) and Chris Kunitz. Fleury has enjoyed a sensational season. He now has a GAA of .234 and a save percentage of .917. Pittsburgh (50-24-5) had already clinched first place in the Metropolitan Division and is second in the Eastern Conference. The Penguins have three games left, all at home.
