There are 7 games scheduled for the NHL today. Philadelphia and the Islanders will start things off at 1:00 pm.  Ray Emery has been (confirmed) for the Flyers, giving starter Steve Mason a day off.  Mason has had a solid year, and he is 8-3 in his last 11 games, but it will be Emery today.  With Evgeni Nabokov still out, and Kevin Poulin struggling New York has (confirmed) that Anders Nilsson will start today. Nilsson has played in only 4 games this year and he has yet to win a game.  Like Emery in this one, but this could be a suprise game.  The Kings will be at Boston at 3:00, and this game will (likely) showcase two of the premier goaltenders in the NHL in Jonathan Quick and Tuukka Rask. Quick has gone 4-3 since his return from a groin injury, although he has only allowed 10 goals.  Rask has been struggling lately losing 4 of his last 5 games.  Tough one to call, but Boston plays well at home in afternoon games.  Florida plays at Pittsburgh, and it will (likely) be Tim Thomas for the Panthers. Thomas has lost his last 2 starts.  Marc-Andre Fleury (confirmed) on the other hand has won 5 straight for Pittsburgh. Have to go with the Penguins. Jaroslav Halak has been (confirmed) for St. Louis against Detroint. Halak has gone 3-1 since missing 2 weeks.  Jimmy Howard (confirmed) will be in goal for the Red Wings, and he has had a tough year with only 9 wins. Like St. Louis. Kari Lehtonen will (likely) start for Dallas today against Nashville. Lehtonen has been in a bad slump losing 7 of his last 8 games, while Nashille newcomer Devan Dubnyk (likely) got clobbered in his first start with the Predators allowing 5 goals. Look for Lehtonen to get out of his slump. Looks like Jonathan Bernier (likely) will start for Toronto against Phoenix. He has played well this year, and is sitting on 3 straight wins. Mike Smith (likely) will be in goal for the Coyotes. He has won 2 straight after a 6 game losing streak.  Go with Phoenix.  Calgary is at San Jose, and Karri Ramo (likely) will start for the Flames while Antti Niemi (likely) should be in goal for the Sharks. Niemi has won 3 of his last 4 losing only to Boston 1-0.  Take the Sharks.
