He caught Frederik Andersen leaning and scored off the rusk with a sharp-angled backhander in the first. Mikheyev's speed is a weapon the Leafs' third line, but the team won't be able to afford him next season. His overall numbers aren't impressive, but he has a goal in back-to-back games and could be solid over the stretch. At minimum, remember Mikheyev's name for 2022-23 because his skills could find him on the second line on a team that's not quite as deep up front as the Leafs.
