Nedeljkovic allowed four goals on 12 shots before being replaced by Thomas Greiss early in the second period of Tuesday's 9-2 loss to the Coyotes. He then re-entered the game and allowed another three goals on 15 shots, finishing with a total of seven goals allowed on 27 shots.
EDGE Analysis
Nedeljkovic couldn't slow down a surging Coyotes offense that lit up the Senators for eight goals in Arizona's previous game. He gave up three goals in the first, and when Nick Schmaltz put another puck past Nedeljkovic 1:04 in the second, coach Jeff Blashill had seen enough. Greiss was even worse and allowed two goals on three shots, prompting Blashill to turn back to Nedeljkovic. Remarkably, this was the second time in Nedeljkovic's last five appearances that he was asked to come back in after getting the hook, as Greiss has been even worse recently.
