Gibson was the first goalie off the ice at morning skate and is expected to start Thursday against the Flames, Helene Elliott of the Los Angeles Times reports. Frederik Andersen submitted sub-.900 save percentages while taking the loss in both of the Ducks' previous two contests, so it's not overly surprising that Gibson will receive a chance to get the team back in the win column. Coach Bruce Boudreau indicated last week that he'd employ a rough timeshare between his two goalies for the remainder of the season, but he could have the temptation to ride the hot goalie for a stretch. With Andersen scuffling of late, opportunity knocks for Gibson to earn a greater share of the netminding duties if he can turn in a stellar performance Wednesday.
