Gibson was great at home Tuesday, turning aside 33 of 34 shots in a 4-1 win over the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
Thats win No. 6 on the season for the young goaltender, who was in desperate need of a bounce-back performance after surrendering a horrendous seven goals on 36 shots across his last two starts. Even with the solid outing, his rate stats (2.55 GAA, .909 save percentage) aren't quite where they should be considering his career marks are 2.27 and .918, but Gibson is just 23 and still adjusting to life as an undisputed starter at the NHL level. With that in mind, owners would be wise to exercise patience with the Pittsburgh native.
