Gibson was a late scratch for the backup goaltender from Monday's Game 1 due to the flu, Helene Elliott of the Los Angeles Times reports. Gibson was suffering from an upper-body injury coming into the series, but instead an illness held him out of Game 1. Frederik Anderson continues to be the team's no. 1 goaltender in the postseason, but Jason LaBarbera will back him up Thursday. However, the illness shouldn't cost Gibson too much time, and the he should retake his no.2 netminder role back upon his return.
