Gibson turned aside 31 of 33 pucks but ended up the loser as the Ducks were shut out 3-0 at home by Ottawa. The third goal was an empty-netter. Despite falling short of grabbing his fourth consecutive win, Gibson was terrific in this one, so owners counting on a win should be more disappointed in the Quackers' scorers than the rookie netminder. The 21-year-old has racked up some serious crease time of late with Freddy Andersen (neck) shelved, appearing in eight straight games. Gibson is likely to get shipped back down to AHL Norfolk when Andersen returns from injury to allow him to continue to play regularly.
