Gibson stopped 20 of 22 shots in a 4-2 win over the Kings on Friday. That's four wins in the last five starts for the rookie, who appears to be adjusting well to life in the NHL. Too bad then, that starter Freddy Anderson (neck) was activated from injured reserve Friday, likely spelling the end of Gibson's time as a starter. He'll get to stick with the Ducks in a backup role, though, and could be a nice spot-start option down the stretch when Andersen needs a rest.
