Gibson allowed five goals on 34 shots and was pulled during the third period of Wednesday's game against Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson has been inconsistent to start 2016-17 and owns a mediocre .911 save percentage and 2.58 goals against average. However, those numbers have been inflated by a few poor outings -- Wednesday's included. While there is oodles of potential and a bright future likely awaits Gibson, it just isn't time to don him a star or high-end fantasy option just yet. It would probably be wise to be a little selective with his opponents until he shows more game-to-game consistency, too.
