Thompson stopped 33 of 35 shots in Monday's 3-0 loss to the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
Minnesota's final goal was scored into an empty net. Thompson played well and had little chance on either goal he allowed, but he had no margin for error with the Golden Knights' offense failing to show up. The 25-year-old has started three straight games, going 2-1-0 with a 2.03 GAA and .945 save percentage, and he appears to be Vegas' No. 1 netminder for the moment -- and perhaps the rest of the way if Robin Lehner (lower body) isn't able to return.
